NEOLIBERALISM for Thursday, 1/18

• Adam Smith The Wealth of Nations Of Restraints Upon the Importation from Foreign Countries of Such Goods as Can Be Produced at Home (Scroll down to IV.2; read IV 2.1 through and including IV 2.16 (about 5 pages total); RA due for Smith.  You can draw from Sloan to help clarify Smith's writing, but don't need to do a separate RA for Sloan.

• Keohane & Nye "Interdependence in World Politics" (pages 122-132 only; the Realism part is not mandatory)  RA due for K&N.

MARXISM for Tuesday, 1/23

• Karl Marx from Wage Labor & Capital The Relation of Wage-Labour to Capital Only one RA due for both Marx's readings together. 
• Karl Marx: from The German Ideology The Rise in Manufacturing (read this section and through the end of The Most Extension Division of Labour, Large Scale Industry--you can stop at the end of the first section and don't have to read The Relation of State and Law to Property)
• V.I. Lenin from Imperialism: The Highest State of Capitalism  Imperialism as a Special Stage of Capitalism (skip over Lenin's critique of Kautsky that runs from page 4-6, i.e. the paragraph that begins "Kautsky refers especially---and repeatedly..." until you get to the paragraph that begins "R. Calwer, in his little book..." and read from that to the end.)  RA due for Lenin.
