Thanks for stopping by! At NKU, I teach courses on computer, web, and network security, and connect hands-on skills with real-world context for students at both the undergrad and graduate levels. My research areas include emerging networking architectures, security and privacy implications of AI tools, and applications of large language models (LLMs). I am looking for motivated undergraduate and graduate students to collaborate on research; if you are interested, please check the Research and Contact pages.
My journey in academia began with a bachelors in electrical and electronic engineering. During my junior year, I enrolled in Cisco NetAcad and fell in love with computer networking, and eventually ended up getting my associate and professional certifications in networking from Cisco. This is also why I chose future Internet architectures as my doctoral research topic at the University of Cincinnati. After finishing my Ph.D., I joined Bradley University, IL, as an assistant professor of computer science. While I loved my time at Bradley, I always missed Cincy and decided to move back in 2024.
I love the greater Cincinnati area; it has felt like home since I first moved here in 2015. I enjoy reading, exploring new cuisines and specialty coffee, and learning about new technologies. I am a big Harry Potter and Game of Thrones (book series) fan.
