You will need the following for the first day:

1. Safety glasses
These can be purched in lab on the first day from
The Student Affiliates of The American Chemical Society.
New Visorgogs are $8; used Visorgogs $6 (while supplies last).

2. A laboratory notebook (available from the bookstore)

3. The text book
The techniques you will need are described in the required text:
Techniques in Organic Chemistry, 3rd Ed
Authors: Mohrig, Hammond and Schatz
W.H. Freeman and Co., NY; 2010
