1. For extra credit, you can watch a film presentation of a tragedy and write a 1 page, single-spaced review of the film. Possibilities include the following:

2. Write a brief (1 page, single spaced) explanation of how you would stage a scene from one of the tragedies we have read, either in a classical version of the play or an updated version. Explain what the sets, costumes and effects would look like.

3. Choose a contemporary event you believe is worthy of staging as a tragedy. Explain in a 1 page, single spaced paper how it fits the definition of tragedy as we have discussed it. Explain anything you would have to rewrite to make it work for a contemporary audience.
