Reading Questions For Ulysses |

Below you will find links to reading questions for each each episode in the novel. You do not need to spend exhaustive time answering these questions, but these can offer a way into the text for you and a guide for how to think about certain aspects of the text. You may want to glance at the questions before beginning reading each episode, but I think you will find it most helpful to think about the questions after you’ve read the episode through one time, then looking back through if you have no idea how you would answer the question. We may discuss some of these questions in class, but some we may not. If you want to discuss a particular question and we don’t get to it in class, I encourage you to post about it on the Blackboard Discussion Board. These questions may also serve as paper topics for the short paper on Ulysses, though some may work better in that capacity than others, so if you’d like to use one as your topic, you may want to check with me before getting started.
