Instructions:

• To download the latest version of Visual Studio.net, go to Microsoft's "My School's WebStore". Enter "Northern Kentucky University" in the search box for your school. You will have to register and have your student status verified through eFollett.com, both are free of charge. From the list of software available, you want Visual Studio Enterprise 2017.

• Visual Studio 2017 C Instructions

  For your C programs, you can use any C compiler you wish including Xcode (Mac) and GCC (Linux). I like Bloodshed-Dev C++ myself. For the two programs that embed assembly code in C, you need to use either Visual Studio or Xcode. GCC and Bloodshed-Dev do not work. However, if you are using either a Mac or Linux, you can also use Clang.

• NOTE: I use the old C I/O functions like scanf. To avoid the file I/O warnings in visual studio (which if they appear will not let your program compile), add the following compiler directive at the beginning of your program:
  #define _CRT_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS
